Strategic Projects facilitates effective planning, development and delivery of key strategic infrastructure projects in Western Australia.

Originally established as the Office of Strategic Projects in December 2007, the unit is a division of the Department of Treasury and Finance’s Building Management and Works business.

Through agency agreement with the Under Treasurer or as directed by the Economic and Expenditure Review Committee, projects are assigned to Strategic Projects on the basis of cost, uniqueness, complexity and risk profile.
